Our Advanced Approach

We use a dedicated, specialist email company based in the UK to manage all our clients' emails and because they are dedicated to email solutions, their systems are always operating at a very high if not maximum capacity and they are not distracted by other issues like website hosting server problems.

Secondly, their email servers are not linked to Rackspace in any way which means that if your website goes down because of server problems (unlikely if we manage it for you!), you still get your emails which keeps your business going during the server outage.

Another important consideration when choosing your email provider is the flexibility in how those emails are delivered to you. With Grape you have three choices (all have webmail access as standard):

1. POP3 - the basic, common approach where you download the emails to your PC
2. IMAP - more flexible where you access a centralised mailbox which means multiple PC's can access the same emails whether from the office or from any other location with web access
3. SMTP Forwarding - for companies who operate their own email servers at their office*

*We have a very resilient SMTP Forwarding solution which our clients love! By using our "Gateway", we can make sure that the staff keep accessing their emails all day and night even if their email server goes down all via our webmail system. Then, once their email server is back up and running, we simply deliver the queued-up emails as usual.

We even supply advanced DNS options for maximum resilience whereby we copy domain zone settings to multiple DNS servers around the world - this is for the really serious emailers who MUST have their email without fail!
